ADAM SAMUEL GOLDMAN

Hello, stranger. I’m a composer, producer, and artist // My score for "The Code," a CBS primetime drama, won a 2020 ASCAP Screen Award // I have worked closely with directors Lauren Greenfield, Christopher Wilcha (Showtime's "This American Life”), and GLAAD Media Award-winner Patrik-Ian Polk (“P-Valley”) // My commercial scoring credits include Visa, Hyundai, Canon, and a ton more //

I was songwriter and producer for the band Fol Chen, whose three albums of fractured pop (released on Sufjan Stevens’ Asthmatic Kitty label) earned praise from the New York Times, Pitchfork, NPR, and the godfather of art-pop himself, David Byrne // With Fol Chen, I remixed David Bowie and legendary club producer Junior Vasquez, created a limited-edition sound toy called the Tetrafol with Monome, and accidentally predicted the end of the world //

I produced Andrew Bird’s Echolocations: River album and art-directed visuals for the corresponding tour // As an artist, my work has been presented at LACMA, MoMA,the Walker Art Center, and in a magical place called Dunedin, New Zealand, where I collaborated with legendary underground musicians Alastair Galbraith, Francesca Griffin, The Chills, and local high school students //

Recently, I have been screenwriting. I cowrote “For Madmen Only,” a feature doc-comedy hybrid starring James Urbaniak, Lauren Lapkus & Patton Oswalt. The film premiered at SXSW, was the subject of a Comic Con panel, and was released by Hulu in 2021 // I received my MFA from CalArts in Valencia, CA.
